Research

The Research Office plays a central role in the promotion of high-quality research outcomes within the system. It is an administrative unit under the authority of the Vice-Dean for Research, Dr. hab. Marcin Żemigała, prof. UW. The Research Section prepares and supports the Faculty in terms of evaluation, provides assistance in the application and implementation of projects financed by national or international funds by the faculty staff. Its main tasks include:

• assisting in the preparation of agreements (and attachments) for the implementation of research projects (Ministry of Education and Science, National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development, and commissioned research), as well as collaborating on the development of research schedules and budgets.
• maintaining a record of research work in a way that allows for the analysis of incurred costs.
• providing comprehensive administrative and financial support.
• settling the costs of research.
• informing researchers about how much of their allocated funds have already been utilized.
• keeping records of funds allocated for scientific purposes.
• collaborating on annual reports and summary reports of research.
• preparing an annex to the research activity balance.
• administrative activities related to employees’ trips to conferences, symposia, seminars, scholarships, inquiries, etc.
• preparing data for reports on research and staff training (for institutions such as universities, the Ministry of Education and Science, or the Statistical Office).
