“Be Like US” – the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw Launches a New Recruitment Campaign!

The Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw is about to launch a new recruitment campaign under the slogan “Be Like US”, inviting prospective students to join the WZUW academic community — a community that shapes trends, inspires, and connects people with passion. The campaign is a continuation of last year’s “Be Like Her / Be Like Him” initiative and marks the second stage of the Faculty’s long-term communication platform. This year’s edition shifts the focus from individuals to the collective — highlighting the power of diverse perspectives and collaboration within the WZUW academic environment. The strategic goal of the campaign is to strengthen the Faculty’s position as the number one choice for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate candidates pursuing business-related studies. The slogan “Be Like US” emphasizes the strength of the community: students open to knowledge, business practitioners, change leaders, and experienced lecturers — all working together to create the future. The campaign encourages students to start building their careers during their studies, gain real project experience, and grow in a dynamic, international environment. A key aspect of this year’s edition was the involvement of WZUW students — their ideas, energy, and authentic stories served as the creative inspiration for the entire campaign. As part of the promotional efforts, the campaign will be visible online (via Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads) and — for the first time on a large scale — in the urban space of Warsaw through outdoor advertising. Outdoor media will include: The campaign will run from May to October of this year.It is coordinated by the WZUW Promotion Section in cooperation with various teams across the Faculty. Thank you for your contributions – A strong team means greater reach! More information about programs and admissions: www.wz.uw.edu.pl

Urban silver singles. Material situation. Consumption. Consumer behaviour and trends

On behalf of Grzegorz Tchorek, Ph.D., we would like to invite you to participate in a scientific seminar on 20 March at 5 p.m. in the Faculty Council Auditorium at the FoM UW, devoted to silver singles. At the meeting, Tomasz Zalega, PhD, Prof. UW will present the results of research published in the monograph entitled ‘Urban silver singles. Material situation. Consumption. Consumer behaviour and trends’. The seminar will take up the important issue of elderly single people, who, as the author points out, are active consumers who are more likely than previous generations of elderly people to seek to satisfy their needs. This means that old age does not necessarily mean a reduction in consumption potential, but only a partial modification of it. In addition, Dr Zalega, Prof. UW, will try to prove that sometimes lonely old age is accompanied by an increase in activities inspiring identity-related consumption, in line with the so-called identity renaissance, consisting in a renewal of intellectual activity triggered by life changes typical of the post-youth period. Some single seniors are experiencing a kind of revival of their previous personal projects and ambitions and are looking for new activities that can enhance forms of self-expression. In this light, lonely old age takes on a new meaning as a flourishing period of renewal in which seniors have the time and resources to engage in different areas of activity that were not possible during their adolescence or adulthood. Consumer behaviour is undoubtedly one of these. The undoubtedly inspiring and interesting topic of the seminar will be an opportunity for reflection and discussion to which we invite you.
