We invite you to the Inauguration of the Academic Year and Adaptation Hours

We invite full-time, evening and part-time students to participate in the Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024/2025. We meet: Inauguration program of the WZ UW: We kindly ask you to arrive on time. After the ceremonial inauguration of the Academic Year, Adaptation Hours will be organized for first-year students of bachelor’s and master’s studies at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. The aim of Adaptation Hours is to familiarize first-year students with the university and the rules applicable at the Faculty of Management. You will learn, among other things, the structure of the university and the study regulations. You will learn how to register for classes, how to use the USOS system and get answers to your questions. Your colleagues from the WZ UW Student Government will help you get to know the Faculty and find your way in the university reality. The Hopes of Management

Dear Graduates of WZ UW! On July 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the gymnasium, we are organizing a graduation ceremony for your studies and we invite all interested to participate. We would like to remind you to arrive at the WZ UW in advance on that day, rent gowns (PLN 15/pcs.) and buy birettas (PLN 25/pcs.), as well as wear ceremonial attire appropriate for this type of ceremony. Registration for the event via the form below is required and lasts until July 8 inclusive. Filling out the form below will allow us to prepare the Graduation Ceremony and maintain contact with you after your studies. IMPORTANT: Only people who defended their master’s thesis before the Graduation Day can register for the Graduation Ceremony! „Role of Competition Law in Economic Transitions”

The conference will be held on June 6, 2024 at 10:00-18:30 at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, ul. Szturmowa 1/3, Warsaw, room C 105 and was organized to support discussions on the role of competition law for economic transformation. Analyzing the experiences of Central and Eastern European countries and selected countries of the Global South (e.g. South Africa, Colombia), our goal is, among others, clarifying the interrelationships between values ​​related to competition protection and other values ​​protected by national constitutions. Of particular interest is the question of whether the way competition law is enforced facilitates or hinders sustainable economic transformation. The general aim of the conference is to reflect on how to build a coherent framework of economic law, including competition law, so that it supports not only economic goals, but also other values ​​that democratic societies consider worthy of protection.
