Email accounts in the @wz.uw.edu.pl domain

The Faculty of Management has its own email system. It is administered by the IT Centre, which creates accounts and makes any changes in system. It is used in communication between employees, secretariats and students of the Faculty of Management.

If a student wants to fully benefit from the status of a student of the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, we recommend using (or at least periodically checking) both the e-mail account in the @wz.uw.edu.pl and @student.uw.edu.pl domains, regardless of which one he will treat any of them as his main email account.

The OpenText GroupWise web client works as closely as possible to the client installed on computers, providing users with a richer, more interactive experience. To access your GroupWise account, open the address below in your browser, then log in using your GroupWise username (the part of your email address before the @) and the appropriate password.

 

Changing the password for faculty email

Students who want to change their faculty email password may do so by contacting the employee in Student Room C008.

 

Configuration of email programs

In order to properly configure programs for receiving and sending e-mail, you must enter the appropriate port and encryption settings during configuration:

Spam filter SMG – https://smg.wz.uw.edu.pl

The SMG (Secure Messaging Gateway) spam filter protects your GroupWise mailboxes from unwanted mail and viruses. Blocked messages are stored for 14 days, during which time they can be unblocked by the user from the SMG management panel. In the login window, please provide your full e-mail address (including the domain @wz.uw.edu.pl) and your GroupWise e-mail password.
