PhD Krzysztof Walczak, Associate Professor – director of COP

He holds a postdoctoral degree in legal sciences and is a lecturer in labor law and social insurance at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw. Additionally, he is a Partner at the C&C Chakowski & Ciszek law firm. He also conducts classes in postgraduate and MBA studies at various institutions, including the Jagiellonian University, the University of Łódź, the Koźmiński University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Warsaw School of Economics, and the Higher School of Social Psychology. He is the author or co-author of approximately 100 papers presented at conferences, seminars, and training sessions organized, among others, by the European Commission (Brussels), the International Labour Office (Geneva), the European Network of Labor Inspections (Dusseldorf), and the European Association of Personnel Management (EAPM). He has authored or co-authored numerous book publications, including “European Labor Law and Its Impact on Polish Legislation,” “Principles of Remuneration for Work at Employers – Entrepreneurs in Light of Autonomous Sources of Labor Law,” “Collective Labor Law: Commentary,” “Commentary on the Labor Code,” and “Labor Law (for Judges and Representatives).” His specialization includes the issues of employer cooperation with trade unions, mergers, acquisitions, employment restructuring, as well as motivational aspects of employee compensation, both monetary and non-monetary.

PhD Maciej Chakowski – the Secretary of the Program Board of the Business Process Outsourcing Center (COP)

He is the initiator and co-creator of the Business Process Outsourcing Center at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw. He serves as the Secretary of the Program Board of the BPO Center. Additionally, he is the Managing Partner at the C&C Chakowski & Ciszek law firm and a lecturer in labor law at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw. He was a member of the legal team at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, dealing, among other things, with changes to the Labor Code regulations. He also served as a consultant to the Department of Labor Law at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, providing expertise on the regulation of labor law in European Union countries. His expertise lies in labor law, temporary employment, and outsourcing. He has authored numerous publications on Polish and European labor law, including being a co-author of two commentaries on the Labor Code.
