We are pleased to announce that Dr Barbara Godlewska-Bujok, assistant professor at the Chair of Legal Problems of Administration and Management at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw, has been appointed as a member of the advisory team of the Council for Women in Higher Education and Science.
Role and tasks of the Council for Women in Higher Education and Science
The Council for Women in Higher Education and Science was established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to promote gender equality in academia.
The main tasks of the Council are to:
- analyse the situation of women in science
- recommend solutions to improve the working conditions of women and support their career development in science
These activities aim to ensure a diversity of perspectives, approaches and methodologies in science, which has a positive impact on innovation and research quality.
Profile of Dr Barbara Godlewska-Bujok
Dr Barbara Godlewska-Bujok is a PhD in legal sciences and an assistant professor in the Department of Legal Problems of Administration and Management at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw. Her research interests include the formation of labour law and its axiology, labour law in action, social law and the issue of women’s work performance. She is the author or co-author of numerous publications on labour law and cooperative law, including the book ‘Effectiveness of Employment Law’.
The appointment of Dr Barbara Godlewska-Bujok to the Council for Women in Higher Education and Science is a recognition of her work so far and her commitment to promoting gender equality in academia. Her experience and knowledge will certainly contribute to the Council’s goals and the promotion of women in science.
We congratulate the Doctor and wish her well in her new role! A role such as this, however, is nothing new for Mrs Godlewska-Bujok, as she has been Vice-Chair of the Labour Protection Council at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland since 2024 (we wrote about it here).
