Two cities, two universities, one river – and a common goal. Wisła na Rozdrożu is a unique meeting in which students from University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University join forces to discuss the environmental challenges of our time. In a world where climate change and urbanisation are constantly shaping reality, cooperation and dialogue are key.

Already on 17 March 2025, on the eve of the anniversary of the transfer of the capital of Poland from Krakow to Warsaw, we will meet at the Faculty of Neophilology of the University of Warsaw at 55 Dobra Street in Warsaw (level -1, under the yellow stairs). Start at 14:00!

What will happen? During the final, 5 pairs – UW and UJ students – will encounter each other on stage in impromptu speeches on key environmental challenges:

Ecology and urbanisation – How concretisation is changing the climate and ecosystems of cities?

Water pollution – What are the consequences and how to prevent them?

Consumerism and fashion dumps – Does our wardrobe affect the state of the planet?

Landfill fires and wild dumps – How to fight this growing problem?
