The next meeting – December 4 – WZ UW Alumni Association

Dear students, on December 4, 2023 at 18:00, the next meeting of the WZ UW Alumni Association will take place entitled Through the eyes of a practitioner: Management – theory and brutal practice. We cordially invite the entire Faculty community to participate in the meeting. “Management – theory and brutal practice” opens up opportunities to put forward various theses. During a special lecture with elements of business cases conducted by Maciej Zientara, a well-known entrepreneur, investor, manager and manager of Supernova Development, we will be able to learn about several of them, including: 👉 The actual practice of management can be brutal due to unexpected difficulties, time pressure and the need to make quick decisions. 👉 Management theory often does not reflect the real challenges and situations that managers have to face in everyday practice. 👉 Managers must skillfully adapt theoretical management approaches to the specificity of their environment and situation, which often requires flexibility and creativity. 👉 Experience gained during practice is an invaluable source of knowledge that often exceeds the value of theoretical concepts. Maciej Zientara has been an active participant in the Polish capital market for over 25 years. He has many years of transactional and practical experience in the field of M&A, financial engineering, management of investment funds and corporate portfolios. It successfully conducts investments in Cyprus, Croatia and the USA. A graduate of AMP IESE Business School in Barcelona and the Warsaw School of Economics. Permanently resident in Cyprus.
