Department of Finance and Accounting

Adam Chmielewski – PhD in Economics, Professor at the University of Warsaw, specialist in accounting, cost accounting, and managerial accounting. For many years, he has incorporated self-designed educational games into his teaching. He is an advocate for personal finance education, conducting workshops for high school students and leading the educational project Zafios, which promoted financial literacy. He is also a designer of educational board games. Practitioner – he spent several years in the accounting department of a commercial bank, served for over a decade as Chairman of the Audit Committee of an insurance company, and was a member of its supervisory board. Certified auditor, business advisor, consultant, and respected trainer. Recipient of the “Best Lecturer” award in the EMBA program, and multiple-time recipient of the University of Warsaw Rector’s awards for teaching achievements. Outside of work, he travels extensively, hikes both low and high mountains, sails, and plays golf, table tennis, and bridge.
