Specializes in competition law, constitutional law, administrative procedure and judicial review of administration, EU law, and human rights. His current research focuses on constitutional conditions of competition protection, the pro-democratic role of competition law, and issues related to the rule of law and application of competition rules in Central Europe, the EU, and the USA. He has conducted research grants on the intensity of judicial review in competition law (SONATA grant, National Science Center) and non-personal data exchange in EU law (OPUS NCN grant). Currently, he is the principal investigator of a five-year comparative grant aimed at examining the role of socio-economic and environmental values in the competition law system (Sonata Bis NCN).
Fellowships: European University Institute (Braudel Fellow, 2025), National Agency for Academic Exchange (2019-2020), Max Planck Institute in Munich (2018-2019), Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scholars (2016-2018), Polish-American Fulbright Commission (2013-2014), and Foundation for Polish Science (Start Program, 2012 and 2013).
Research stays at King’s College London, University of Chicago, University of Melbourne and UNSW (Sydney), Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Munich, Germany), Loyola University Chicago (Chicago, USA; Fulbright Fellowship). Visiting Professor at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).
Professional experience: Supreme Court of Poland (2017), Constitutional Tribunal (2010-2016), Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (2006-2010).
Publishes in Polish (e.g., Państwo i Prawo) and English (e.g., Common Market Law Review, European Law Journal, European Law Review, Columbia Journal of European Law). Author of monographs on procedural fairness before competition authorities, corporate social responsibility, commentary on the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, commentary on the Unfair Competition Act, and System of Private Law.
