What you will learn

Digital Finance is a program for those who want to feel confident in the world of finance and the digital economy. You’ll learn how to leverage new technologies to work faster, more efficiently, and effectively. As a result, you’ll find it easier to achieve work-life balance and monetize your skills.

We designed the curriculum with the needs of the job market, employers, and you – a representative of Generation Z or Alpha – in mind. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for an economy driven by new technologies such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Cloud computing

  • Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)

During the program, you’ll explore topics such as: advanced digital finance, investment, taxation, financial and risk management, financial law, AI in finance, R and Python, managerial accounting, Excel and Power BI, public speaking and presentation skills, financial services marketing, evaluation of banking platforms, and project management.

Elective courses will allow you to grow in areas such as: green finance, cybersecurity, central banking and CBDCs, cash circulation in the digital era, consumer behavior, corporate law, open finance, DeFi, monetary economics, and empirical research in payments.

Your Skills

In this program, you will develop a full range of hard and soft skills needed in the world of modern finance. You will learn not only how to manage money and risk, but also how to use new technologies to increase the efficiency of financial, organizational, and even your own managerial work.

Strong points of the program

The programme combines a modern academic approach with practical classes in the form of seminars, workshops, and exercises, as well as close collaboration with the business sector.
You will utilize state-of-the-art tools (Excel, SPSS, R, Python, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and others), acquiring knowledge and skills that enable you to obtain specialist certifications.

We place strong emphasis on the development of ethical, social, and entrepreneurial competencies.

You will be able to pursue employment, among others, in:

  • financial sector institutions, including fintech companies, banks, and payment institutions;

  • think tanks or higher education institutions.

Eligibility Requirements for Applicants with a Polish Diploma

Applicants for admission to the first year of the second-cycle (master’s) studies may hold a bachelor’s, master’s, engineer’s degree, or an equivalent qualification.

Candidates will be required to take a written entrance examination in Polish, in the form of a single-choice test, covering topics in economics and finance. The qualifying threshold is 25 out of 50 points.

Admission decisions are based on a ranking list.

Eligibility Requirements for Applicants with a Foreign Diploma

The same admission criteria apply as for candidates holding a degree obtained in Poland.

Applicants holding a higher education degree awarded abroad who do not possess a University of Warsaw-recognized certificate confirming proficiency in the Polish language (in accordance with the general requirements specified in the admission resolution) will undergo a qualifying interview to assess their knowledge of Polish. During the interview, the candidate’s ability to read and comprehend texts, as well as to formulate responses in Polish, will be evaluated.

The maximum number of points available for the Polish language proficiency interview is 5.

The minimum number of points required to pass the Polish language proficiency interview is 3.

Recruitment Schedule for the Academic Year 2025/2026

Registration in the IRK system: June 5, 2025 – July 9, 2025
Payment of the application fee: June 5, 2025 – July 10, 2025
Entrance examination: July 16, 2025 (remote exam on the campus-recruitment platform)
Announcement of results: July 22, 2025
Submission of documents by admitted candidates: July 23–25, 2025. In case of any shifts on the waiting list, additional two-day deadlines will be posted on the candidate’s individual IRK account.

If the admission quota is not filled in the first recruitment round, a second round will be initiated. Registration for the second recruitment round will then begin on August 19, 2025.
