The Polish Olympic Studies and Research Centre (POSRC) is a research unit operating within the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. Established in 2023, the Centre actively develops its activities in the field of Olympic Movement research, sports management, and sports policy. It supports the advancement of knowledge in sports management and processes occurring in sports organizations, serving as a platform for collaboration between academia, sports practitioners, and public and private organizations.
POSRC is part of the global network of Olympic Studies and Research Centres (OSRCs) operating under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee. We collaborate with leading universities and research institutions, such as the International Olympic Studies Centre in Lausanne, German Sport University Cologne, LUNEX University, Catholic University of Louvain, University of Stirling, Loughborough University, Polytechnic Institute of Maia, University of Porto, University of Lisbon, University of Central Lancashire Cyprus, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Jagiellonian University in Kraków and University of Economics in Katowice.
The Centre conducts research in areas such as good governance in sports organizations, sports policy and its impact on the development of Olympic disciplines, corporate social responsibility in sports organizations, and the education and development of dual-career athletes.

The mission of the Polish Olympic Studies and Research Centre is to support the development of knowledge and competencies in sports management and to build bridges between science and sports practice. The Centre’s activities focus on:

• Conducting scientific research related to the Olympic Movement and sports management,
• Providing formal and informal education through academic programs and training,
• Organizing scientific conferences and seminars,
• Supporting dual-career athletes,
• Promoting Olympic values in society.

The Polish Olympic Studies and Research Centre supports the activities of the Student Scientific Circle “B2S – Business to Sport”, operating at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw under the supervision of Dr. Grzegorz Botwina.
