On 20 June 2026, the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw hosted the graduation ceremony for the 24th edition of the postgraduate programme Management for Creators, Artists and Cultural Practitioners. The ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive year of learning, exchanging experiences and developing the skills needed to manage cultural projects and institutions effectively.

This year, 30 participants representing a wide range of artistic, cultural and community-based activities completed the programme.

Graduation Ceremony for the 24th Edition

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, the Foundation of the Faculty of Management, the programme management team and faculty members.

The event was honoured by the presence of:

  • Prof. Grzegorz Karasiewicz – Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw;
  • Prof. Monika Skorek – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw;
  • Robert Pietrusiński, PhD – President of the Management Board of the Foundation of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw;
  • Lucyna Krupa-Szado, MSc Eng., Executive MBA – programme lecturer;
  • Zofia Kosińska, MA – programme lecturer;
  • Maria Kujcys-Sołobodowska, MA – Head of the PSM ART UW postgraduate programme.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the participants’ work throughout the year, discuss their professional plans and celebrate their achievements.

The postgraduate programme in cultural management combines creativity with the practical knowledge required to plan and develop artistic activities. Participants gain skills in areas including:

  • cultural funding and obtaining national and European funds;
  • developing business plans and organisational strategies;
  • preparing promotional plans;
  • marketing, sponsorship and public relations;
  • copyright, commercial and tax law;
  • managing projects, teams and cultural institutions.

These skills enable graduates to combine their creative work with responsible management, develop their own initiatives and pursue new professional opportunities in the cultural sector.

Knowledge That Supports the Development of Culture

Particular emphasis is placed on cultural funding, fundraising, business planning and strategy development. Knowledge in these areas helps participants transform artistic ideas into well-planned and achievable projects.

Management skills also enable them to respond more effectively to the challenges faced by today’s creative sector. This applies both to running an independent creative practice and to working in cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations, foundations, local government bodies or teams delivering artistic projects.
