The Accounting and Controlling programme offers an in-depth analysis of key financial and managerial issues, preparing students to face the challenges of the contemporary business environment. Courses are taught by experts who share both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring students acquire a strong academic foundation as well as the practical skills required for effective performance in the fields of finance and controlling.
The programme equips students with comprehensive competencies in financial analysis, budgeting, management accounting, and financial strategy. Through practical projects and case studies, graduates are well-prepared to make strategic business decisions and manage an organisation’s financial resources efficiently.
Students can choose between two specialised tracks: Accounting and Financial Auditing and Controlling, allowing them to pursue their interests and develop the expertise necessary to succeed in a competitive job market.
A graduate of the Accounting and Controlling programme will possess extensive knowledge of key issues in financial accounting (in accordance with both national and international regulations), management accounting and controlling, as well as the role of taxation in accounting. The graduate will also be equipped with expertise in areas such as financial liquidity and credibility, capital investment, corporate financial restructuring, tax strategies, and the specific operations of corporate groups. They will understand the need to continuously monitor legislative changes in these fields and to improve practical skills, including the use of IT tools relevant to accounting and controlling.
A graduate of the second-cycle (Master’s) programme will be prepared to take up independent positions in both typical business enterprises and service-oriented firms, such as accounting offices, consulting companies, as well as financial institutions and the public sector (e.g. government administration bodies).
