Candidates take a written test covering basic knowledge in the field of management and economics in accordance with the published list of topics. The exam is conducted in English.

The maximum amount of points available to obtain in the written test is 30.

Checking the Candidates’ competences to undertake studies conducted in English language

The language competences of candidates who do not have a document confirming the knowledge of English at the B2 level at least recognized by the University of Warsaw are checked by an online test.

The maximum number of points to be obtained in the online test is 30.

Minimum number of points required to be qualified is 15.

Language test points are not included in the candidate’s final result. Confirmation of the candidate’s competences to study in English is a condition for admission to further stages of the admission procedure.

Deadline for the online test checking the knowledge of English language (if it applies to the candidate): 18th of September, 2024.

Receipt of documents:

  • Round I: -22,25-26 May 2026
  • Round II (in case of not fulfilling the limit during round I): 27-28 May, 2026
  • Round III (in case of not fulfilling the limit during round II): 29 May, 1 June, 2026
  • Subsequent dates set by the admissions committee in the event that the place limit is not filled during the previous round

Required documents:

  • the higher education diploma (MA, BA, engineer diploma or equivalent) and transcript of grades obtained during the course of study, entitling to continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued, in English or with translation into English,
  • a personal questionnaire, which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section „Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”),
  • an application for issuing electronic student’s id (ELS), which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate – in case of candidates not holding ELS from University of Warsaw (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section “Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”),
  • a proof of student’s id (ELS) payment: 22 PLN;

  • From candidates holding a diploma issued abroad, in addition: a document stating that the diploma entitles to undertake or continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued (such proof should be issued or certified by the school or educational institution which issued the diploma or by educational authorities of the country which issued the diploma or in which system of education the school operates) with translation into English (a sample form),
  • accepted by the University of Warsaw document confirming proficiency in English language (at least B2 level) (A list of documents certifying the knowledge of English, accepted in the process of recruitment),
  • a proof of application fee payment – in case of the need for confirmation of making the payment,
  • a photocopy of visa or other document proving legalisation of stay in Poland,
  • authorization to submission of documents – in case of submission of candidate’s documents by the other person (a sample form – two pages).

Rules for qualifying for studies in the transfer mode (recruitment in this mode applies only to candidates studying at universities other than the University of Warsaw)

Students from other universities applying for admission to studies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, on a transfer basis, must have completed at least the first year of full-time, master’s studies in the field of Management, International Management, International Finance and an average from the course of studies not lower than 4 .5.During the qualification procedure, a ranking list will be prepared including people with the highest average during their studies.
Students admitted to the Faculty of Management will be required to make up for program differences.

Students wishing to take up studies by transfer should register in the IRK system and upload the following documents to the system:

  • certificate of completion of at least 1 year of studies in the academic year 2023/24, at a university other than the University of Warsaw,
    study progress card,
  • a certificate of average grades from the current course of studies,
  • a document confirming the Student’s settlement with the previous university.
  • a document honored by the University of Warsaw, a document confirming knowledge of English at the level of at least B2. NOTE: the list of documents accepted by the University of Warsaw can be found at the link below

Recruitment procedure for candidates for studies in the form of transfer from another university:

Registration for studies in the transfer mode, in the period: 06/06/2024 – 06/09/2024. NOTE: registration takes place in the IRK system, in the part regarding transfer from another university, and not in the part regarding open recruitment. The link to register candidates in the transfer mode from another university is provided
Uploading the following documents required for recruitment into the IRK system:

  • certificate of completion of at least 1 year of studies in the academic year 2023/24, at a university other than the University of Warsaw,
  • study progress card,
  • a certificate of average grades from the current course of studies,
  • a document confirming the Student’s settlement with the previous university.
  • a document recognized by the University of Warsaw certifying knowledge of English at the level of at least B2 NOTE: the list of documents accepted by the University of Warsaw can be found at the link below
  • consent to transfer from the candidate’s university

3. Candidates who do not have a document recognized by the University of Warsaw certifying their knowledge of English at the level of at least B2, take the online test. The test will take place on July 15, 2024.

4. Checking the recruitment results and reading messages from the WZ UW Recruitment Committee located on the candidate’s individual account in the IRK system.

5. Submitting a complete set of required documents to the dean’s office.

The required documents are:

  • certificate of completion of at least 1 year of studies in the academic year 2023/24, at a university other than the University of Warsaw,
  • study record cardcertificate of average grades from the current course of studiesa document confirming the Student’s settlement with the previous university,
  • a document recognized by the University of Warsaw certifying knowledge of English at the level of at least B2 NOTE: the list of documents accepted by the University of Warsaw can be found at the link below,
  • original or certified copy of a higher education diploma: master’s diploma or bachelor’s diploma or engineer’s diploma or equivalent diploma issued abroad, in order to prepare a copy and certify its compliance with the original or certified copy,
  • a diploma supplement or a confirmed program of studies, in order to prepare a copy and certify its compliance with the original or a certified copy,
  • a personal questionnaire containing the candidate’s photo, printed from the personal registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate,
  • a declaration that you have read the content of the template agreement on payment for educational services at the University of Warsaw,
  • an application for the issuance of an Electronic Student ID (ELS), printed after the candidate enters his/her photo in electronic format into his/her personal registration account – in the case of candidates who do not have ELS,
  • consent to transfer from the candidate’s university.
