The University of Warsaw is pleased to invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to participate in the INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE “Religious Heritage and Religious Tourism in Urban Spaces – Challenges, Integration and Sustainable Development”, which will take place on June 11th, 2026 in Warsaw, Poland in a stationary mode.
The conference brings together participants interested in a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to):
- integration of religious sites into urban spaces,
- the social dimension of religious heritage,
- management of religious tourism,
- institutional and cross-sector cooperation,
- education and mentoring in the field of religious tourism,
- protection and promotion of religious heritage,
- international cooperation and exchange of good practices,
- implementation of European project results in academic and social practice.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their research, receive feedback, and engage in discussions in an international academic environment.
The registration at the conference is mandatory and FREE OF CHARGE.

• June 5, 2026 – deadline for submissions of extended structured abstracts (300-500 words)
• June 8, 2026 – information on acceptance of the submission of abstracts
• June 11 2026 – Final Conference of the Project: ReligiTour – Enhancement of the Competences and Possibilities for Religious Tourism Development and for Better Integration and Management of Religious Sites in the Urban Environment
Publication Opportunity:
• Participants of the conference will have the opportunity to submit their papers, among others, to the Praxeology and Management Journal.
